2024 Jeep Compass is in fact a small crossover SUV that sits between the smaller Renegade and the larger Compass in the Jeep lineup. Seeing its success last year Jeep gave the Compass an updated interior and exterior styling, more in-car technology, and additional standard features.
While Jeep has yet to release final information for this year. we suspect the Compass may receive a new powertrain, including a possible hybrid or plug-in hybrid.
Jeep already sells the Compass 4xe plug-in hybrid in other parts of the world. That would be a welcome change as the current engine is unrefined and underpowered.
The 2024 Jeep Compass is great because there aren’t many other SUVs in this tween segment, with most of its rivals smaller or larger than the Compass. Rivals like the Chevrolet Trailblazer, Mazda CX-30, and Volkswagen Taos are some of Edmunds’ favorites, offering plenty of features and space for the price.
We think it’s a better buy overall, but the Compass is still worth a look especially if you check out the Compass Trailhawk, which has above-average off-road capabilities.
2024 Jeep Compass Review
We are very excited about the 2024 Jeep Compass with a compact SUV feel that will arrive for the 2023 model year, we hope the 2023 Jeep Compass will be a carryover model. Reports suggest that Jeep could make some changes to the SUV’s powertrain.
The Compass’s exterior should remain largely the same. Today’s compact SUV features a rugged design with Jeep’s iconic seven-slot grille, stocky front bumper, chunky fenders, and rugged rear bumper.
Depending on the trim level, the current Compass can be a more luxurious option with chrome exterior trim or have a sturdier design with black decals, off-road tires, heavy-duty skid plates, and durable wheels.
As a carryover model, the 2024 Jeep Compass is also still very compatible with the models sold today.
The Compass has an upscale interior design with an infotainment screen perched above the dashboard and a row of thin analog buttons located low on the center console. The dashboard has a split design that separates infotainment controls and HVAC controls.
While the compact SUV has some hard plastic, most of the materials inside are high-end.
The 2024 Jeep Compass comes standard with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, voice recognition, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and three USB ports.
Available technology features include a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system, navigation, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

2024 Jeep Compass Specs
The Jeep Compass’s 2024 specs are still very mysterious. Jeep hasn’t revealed many details about the 2024’s Jeep specs.
We’re speculating that the Jeep EV will provide a driving range of around 250 miles. The Jeep EV will likely offer both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations.
New Jeep Compass Design
The Jeep EV has a solid design, along with the iconic seven-slot grille. The Jeep EV in the teaser image features a contrasting yellow and black color scheme.
Stellantis launches its Dare Forward 2030 initiative. Much of the focus of the Dare Forward 2030 initiative is on the electrification of Stellantis vehicles.
The biggest news coming out of Dare Forward 2030 is the Jeep EV. However, Stellantis is also drawing up plans for many new electric vehicles. After the Jeep EV, the next electric vehicle released from Stellantis is the Ram ProMaster van.

New Jeep Compass Engine
The 2024 Jeep Compass is expected to come with a standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 177 horsepower. The engine is paired with either a six-speed or nine-speed automatic transmission.
We can see the Compass receiving a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine. A hybrid powertrain is also rumored to be arriving.
We don’t expect to see any changes to the compact SUV’s list of standard safety features. signs with automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane guard assistance, lane departure warning, rear traffic warning, pedestrian detection, and blind-spot monitoring.
Available safety features include traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, parking assist, traffic sign recognition, and a surround-view parking camera.
2024 Jeep Compass EV
The 2024 Jeep Compass EV is still in big planning to rock its lineup in the years to come. While Jeep already offers an electric model with a plug-in hybrid Grand Cherokee 4xe and Wrangler 4xe, the automaker has yet to release an all-electric model.
However, this will soon come at a cost, as Stellantis introduces the Jeep EV, the working name of Jeep’s first all-electric model.
