The 2025 Jeep Wagoneer EV is one of two electric SUVs to be introduced to the North American market, along with the Jeep Recon. Unlike the Jeep Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe, which are plug-in-hybrid models, the Wagoneer EV will be fully battery-operated with an estimated range of 400 miles on a single charge.

As a step towards this, the automaker has given us a glimpse of the new electric Jeep Wagoneer S after teasing a new release for its EV lineup.
Built on the STLA Large platform, the Jeep EV, codenamed Wagoneer S, is not only striking in appearance but also promises to be a worthy rival to the Cadillac Lyriq.
The Jeep design team noted that the ‘S’ represented speed, flashy presence, and good looks, and from what we know so far, it’s right for the money. It will be built in North America along with the Jeep Recon.
This is not an electric version of the Wagoneer full-size SUV, but rather an all-new midsize offering with almost the same interior space as the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
2025 Jeep Wagoneer Report
Jeep has presented three models as part of its new product offensive. They are three of the first four electric SUVs that the marque will introduce in Europe and North America by the end of 2025. The story will focus on the new all-electric Jeep Wagoneer, which the brand calls the Wagoneer S.
Jeep asked its designers and engineers to create a sleek vehicle with an aerodynamic design that has 4×4 capability as standard, including terrain management, as well as an all-electric model. SUV
The all-electric will be offered exclusively as a BEV, which stands for Battery Electric Vehicle, and will target a range of 400 miles (ca. 643 km) on a single charge.
The motor will provide 600 horsepower, while the 0-60 time (97 kph) will be around 3.5 seconds. Some of those values are impressive, but not all of them are best in class.
While Stellantis, the conglomerate that owns the Jeep brand, has published some images of the Wagoneer S 2025, the new model will be fully revealed next year, and production will begin in 2025 in North America.
Customers in the US will be the first to be allowed to make reservations for the all-electric Wagoneer, and that process will begin in early 2025. We can expect that we’ll also get more information about the new model once people start making reservations for it. European customers will also be offered the same possibility, but at a later date has not been determined.
However, don’t expect to learn too much about it, as other brands that allow customers to order new models without disclosing specifications require their customers to sign various confidentiality agreements.

New Mid-size Electric Wagoneer
While the electric Wagoneer S shares the nameplate with the full-size petrol-powered Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, it actually has smaller dimensions that Jeep says make it a mid-size model. It made us think it was more like an electric Grand Cherokee.
S is also only as a substitute until the company may decide on a permanent name. Like the Recon, we didn’t get many specific details about the Wagoneer EV other than claims that it will have 600 horsepower and an estimated 400-mile range.
One thing we can say for sure is that the exterior styling is much prettier than the full-size Wagoneers, with the flared seven-slot grille, sleek bodywork, and rear spoiler well-integrated into the design. Judging from the photos, it looks like the Wagoneer S will only have two rows of seating.

Striking and sexy are the two words the design team chose for the Wagoneer S 2025 exterior, and we are inclined to agree that it is the look. At the front, the seven-element grille has been completely reinvented – more understated and elegant than on the larger gas-fueled models.
The lettering clearly identifies it, and just below it, the sleek headlamps with LED light strips that span the entire width of the hood give it a futuristic look combined with the illuminated grille slots.
At the rear, the coupe-like roofline lends itself to a slim profile; the roof itself juts down at the rear, under a floating wing design supported by D-pillars. Echoing a full-width light strip across the nose, the rear taillight cluster is just as sleek.
Jeep states that the Wagoneer S is the pinnacle of design evolution, and a clear emphasis has been placed on aerodynamics and premium looks.
2025 Jeep Wagoneer Interior
It may be slightly smaller than the Grand Cherokee, but the interior of the Jeep Wagoneer S will have similar legroom.
As the battery runs out, space has been maximized to make it a comfortable place to spend time. We know that the Jeep Wagoneer S has five seats in two rows, and while we haven’t caught a glimpse of the cabin other than through its glass roof, you’ll likely find plenty of leather and soft touch, as expected from a premium cabin.
The new Uconnect system will be at the core of the infotainment setup, with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The storage and cargo space in the Jeep Wagoneer S will most likely be enough to accommodate a medium-sized family, and if the slightly larger Grand Cherokee is anything to go by, it will include useful interior space for smaller items; between 35 and 40 cubic feet of luggage space behind the second row is expected, with frunks also likely to add extra practicality.

2025 Jeep Wagoneer Color
When it comes to colors for the Jeep Wagoneer S, we don’t have access to the official palette just yet, but it looks in silver, blue and darker purples in press materials, looking equally eye-catching and elegant.

There are no official dimensions for the mid-size Jeep Wagoneer S yet, but we do know it’s a bit smaller than the current Grand Cherokee. The larger SUV measures 193.5 inches long, just under 71 inches tall, and 77.5 inches wide. The 4xe variant of the Grand Cherokee weighs in at over 5,300 pounds, and the Wagoneer S likely weighs slightly more.

The letter ‘S’ in the name also represents speed, and while we haven’t seen if the name will last, it’s a fitting way of denoting a fast SUV.
We’re still anticipating official specs for the powertrain, but we know it’ll have up to 600 horsepower and be able to deliver a 0-60 mph sprint in 3.5 seconds – a performance matched by an older supercharged V8-powered Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawks.
It will most likely be from a dual motor setup to inspire a Wagoneer S with such output figures, but the inclusion of a less powerful model in the range is also possible.
This twin-motor powertrain will also give the Wagoneer S – or whatever name the electric Wagoneer SUV has in production form – electric all-wheel drive capability.
Capability is a staple of Jeep vehicles, and while the new Jeep Wagoneer S SUV isn’t Rubicon Trail Rated, it will be able to manage light off-roading.

Jeep made headlines today by announcing its electrification plans that include the introduction of four new EVs in the next few years.
Among these is the Jeep Wagoneer S, a fully electric premium midsize SUV previewed today through a series of renderings before a full launch in 2025. The EV will be a global model, with production and sales starting in 2025.
Despite sharing its name with the full-size Jeep Wagoneer SUV and the ICE-powered Grand Wagoneer (plus the longer L variant), this new member of the family is very different, not only in terms of powertrain but also in style and market position.

The front bumper has a ‘ ‘Stellantis’ group feel in terms of style, with triangular side intakes and a large center opening featuring silver or copper accents.
Moving on to the profile, large alloy wheels fill the boxy wheel arches that look similar to other Jeep models. What is different from the rest of the lineup is a slimmer greenhouse with chrome accents that accentuate the larger rear pillar slope.
This is where the Wagoneer S’s signature design element lies – the massive rear wing, thanks to the offset created by the angled rear windshield. The rear gives off a lot of the Range Rover Velar vibe, with full-width LED taillights and a sculpted tailgate.
600 HP, 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and 400 miles. In terms of the electric powertrain, Jeep announced a targeted output of 600 hp (447 kW / 608 PS).
That would be enough for a 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) acceleration time of around 3.5 seconds, similar to the discontinued Hellcat-powered Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. The SUV will come standard with 4×4 capability, most likely thanks to a dual electric motor setup.
It will feature Jeep’s all-terrain management system and brand-focused technology, ensuring it sets itself apart from other Stellantis products. By the way, Jeep didn’t reveal which architecture would support the EV-only Wagoneer S, but what it does say is that it targets a range of 400 miles (644 km).

We expect charging to be efficient, with about 200 miles of charge added per 10 minutes, if you have the right charging settings in place. It is based on the STLA Large architecture that underpins the Wagoneer S.
